Hit Publish

I have wanted to start a blog for years but I would ALWAYS find  an excuse to delay the process.  You know the usual suspects….

I don’t know how (although I bought books, talked to other bloggers, I even attended a class, etc..),

I don’t have the time (who does)  and the best one of all…who wants to read what I have to say?….Yada, yada, yada,…excuse, excuse, excuse.

One morning I woke up and said “today I’m going to start my blog”. But you know what happened next, YEP, I found a couple or three more excuses.  I tried to take a nap but I couldn’t rest until I at least made an attempt to start my blog.  An hour later, I had to stop and pick up clothes, load the washer and clean my bedroom……. THEN I started writing my first post.  YEAH ME!!!! This post sat in my draft section for over a YEAR.  Yes, I said a year. 365 days, four seasons and countless holidays.  I was scared to hit the publish button. Then I had a breakfast meeting with my friend Malaika at Purple hair and converse.  She encouraged me to hit the publish button but again I chickened out.

Fast forward to Thursday, June 18th, 2015.  I had lunch with two of my sorority sisters, Summer Owens of www.summerowens.com and Almetria Turner of www.fitandfinallyfree.com I shared with them my hesitation at starting my blog and my lack of progress. They not only offered encouragement but they empowered me to move NOW!!   So on Sunday, June 21st we met at Summers house and before the day was done my blog was ready for the world.

Am I still scared?  You bet I am, but I know that this blog is part of my purpose.

I welcome you into my little space!!

I welcome you into my world.

Take a seat and Enjoy!!!!!!

I’m happy you took a leap of faith. It take one time to face your fears and after that it is easy to try new things. Now you maybe role model for someone facing the same fear.
